Who'll Buy Corus
|
| Body |
It was hardly suprising that once Corus's share price dropped to 4p after the anouncement that the dutch suprvisory board had veoted the sale of it aluminum assets, rumour of who might buy Corus would spread.
The first of these runours was LNM owned by an Indian Steel Billionaire. The Times suggested that he could be interested in some of Corus's assests. Analysts have said this is "overblown". Other sources suggest interst in the whole company to write off a large amount off tax.
Also dismissed as not very serious are rumours of interst by Russian Industrial Players looking for foot holds in western markets. |
