Corus Expects £600m Operating Result

Corus expects a full year operating result of £600 million this excludes restructuring costs. Profit for the first six months of 2004 was £160 million. The stronger financial position is the result of strong demand growth in North America and Asia with the exclusion of China where growth has slowed.
Utilisation of capacity has remained high although output growth has been limited by the availability of raw materials. |
