Corus's Second Largest Shareholder Increases Share
|
| Body |
Alisher Usmanov now owns 10.03% of Corus Group, fulfilling his goal of 10% stated in some press. The Russian investor is Corus’s second largest shareholder. Industry watchers are speculating about whether Usmanov who has interests in a number of steel makers will be offered a seat on the board. Under UK company law there is no point where a shareholder is legally entitled to a seat on a board, and until a holding reaches 30% when an investor is obliged to make an offer for the whole company, new board members have to be invited. |
